What happens next?
So you've decided you want to get in touch about therapy. What happens next? How does it all work?
Firstly, there are two ways of contacting me. You can fill in my contact form, or click on the 'book your free 15 minute call' link.
The contact form give you a chance to add a few details about what you (and your child) need help with. If you fill that in I'll get back to you within a couple of days with a bit more information about me and a link to book your call.
If you click the link to book your call you'll get a TidyCal calendar with my availability. It gives you the times you can book and asks whether you want a Zoom or telephone call.
Once we have a call booked in I'll give you a ring/see you on Zoom. This is a chance for you to let me know what you and your child need help with, and for you to get to know me a bit and see if you'd like to work with me. I'll also let you know how play therapy, teen creative counselling or parent play can help your child. I'll follow up our call with an email inviting you to a referral meeting.
The referral meeting (usually 40-50 mins long) is a chance to have a longer conversation about your child's needs, and I'll ask some specific questions about their strengths and struggles. This is a charged meeting, but you do not have to sign up to anything there and then: I'll follow up with an email summarising what the goals are, and giving an estimate of how many sessions I think will be needed. To give you an idea most children have 12-24 sessions. I usually catch up with parents once every 6 weeks to review progress.
If you have any questions: there's a contact from below :)
